Your subscribers' day is mostly ears.

Commutes, walks, dishes, gyms — the hours your readers can't be on a screen are hours your writing doesn't reach them as text. An audio edition isn't a different product; it's the same issue, available during the rest of their day. Platforms know it: audio is becoming table stakes for newsletters. Yours shouldn't depend on which platform you publish from.

From published issue to audio edition

Three steps, no microphone involved.

1

Paste the issue's link

Allmagine fetches the post and strips the page furniture. Google Docs and plain paste work too — narrate before you even hit publish.

2

Pick your narrator

Choose a voice and keep it — your audio edition sounds consistent issue after issue. About 1,000 characters becomes a minute of audio.

3

Embed it at the top

Paste the player snippet into the web version of your issue — a compact audio bar or the full read-along. Or drop the narration's link in the email.

This is the player, live

The exact read-along player you'd embed — press play and watch the text follow the voice.

Read-along, not just audio

The text highlights in sync with the narration — subscribers can follow along, skim back, or switch between reading and listening mid-essay.

Long reads, full length

A 4,000-word essay narrates end to end, split into clean tracks. No truncation, no 'first few minutes only.'

A perk you control

Play everything for everyone, or flag a free preview with sample mode — you decide who hears how much, issue by issue.

What it costs, in issues

Narration minutes are the only cost — a typical 1,500-word issue uses about 8 of them. Listening is free for everyone, always.

Questions newsletter writers ask

Does it work with Ghost, beehiiv, or WordPress?

Yes — the player is a standard embed snippet, so it works on any platform that lets you paste an iframe into the web version of a post. Ghost, beehiiv, WordPress, Squarespace, and hand-rolled sites all qualify. Email clients can't run embedded players (no platform's can), so the email links to the audio while the web post carries the player.

How much does an issue cost to narrate?

Narration minutes are the only cost: roughly one minute per 1,000 characters, so a typical 1,500-word issue is about 8 minutes. The free plan includes 30 minutes every month plus a 30-minute signup bonus — several issues before you'd ever pay.

My newsletter has a paid tier. Can audio be part of it?

Sample mode is built for this: flag which tracks play as the free preview, and the full narration stays yours to share with the readers you choose. Many writers simply make the audio edition a public perk — it's one more reason to subscribe.

Do listeners need an Allmagine account?

No. Public narrations play in full for anyone by default — in the embedded player on your site or on the narration's own page. Listeners only need a free account if they want a personal library and synced listening progress.

What happens when I edit the text?

Update the narration's text and regenerate — only the tracks you changed are re-narrated, and only that text spends minutes. Unchanged tracks keep their audio.

Who owns the audio?

You do. Your text stays yours and so do the narrations made from it. Keep them private, publish them, embed them, or delete them whenever you like.

This week's issue could have an audio edition by tonight.
