Questions science communicators ask
How does it handle technical terms?
The narrator reads terms as written — common scientific vocabulary generally comes out right, but gene names, drug names, and Greek letters are worth a listen before you publish. Regenerating a corrected track only re-spends that track's minutes. Pronunciation controls are planned.
Can I narrate summaries of open-access papers?
Summaries you wrote are yours to narrate. If you're narrating or adapting the paper's own text, follow its license — CC BY works require attribution (source, authors, license, and a note that the text was adapted for narration), which fits neatly in the narration's description.
What does regular publishing cost?
A 900-word summary runs about 5 narration minutes, so the free plan's 30 monthly minutes covers roughly 6 summaries; Standard's 150 covers a heavy publishing schedule.
Do listeners need an Allmagine account?
No. Public narrations play in full for anyone by default — in the embedded player on your site or on the narration's own page. Listeners only need a free account if they want a personal library and synced listening progress.
What happens when I edit the text?
